Margaret “Joy” Miller, 83, Sharpsville, passed away at 8:16 p.m. Saturday, February 24, 2018, at St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo.  She was born July 8, 1934, in Sharpsville, to William Lawrence and Maud Oletha (Lewellen) Conaway.  On January 14, 1955, she married Theodore H. Miller, and he preceded her in death on August 22, 1998.

Joy was a devoted homemaker but also worked for twelve years at Delco and operated a daycare in her home.  She enjoyed baking wedding cakes and was a member of the Sharpsville United Methodist church where she served as church treasurer for 35 years.

Survivors include her daughter, Melinda Jill Miller, Indianapolis; grandchildren, Tyler Miller, Sharpsville, Joey Butler, Indianapolis, and Kylie Ann Miller, Sharpsville; sister, Janice Worley Ellis, Sharpsville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Renee Miller; brothers, Aubrey Conaway, Wilbur Conaway, Don Conaway and Charles Jarrett; and sisters, Martha Louise Conaway, Betty Jewell Conaway, Norma Jean Heffelmire and Mary E. Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2018, at the Sharpsville United Methodist Church, 228 W. Meridian St., Sharpsville, with Rev. Mandie Gould officiating.  Burial will follow in Sharpsville Cemetery.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Sharpsville United Methodist Church or the American Heart Association.  Messages of condolence may be left online at www.boyerfhsharpsville.com.   Boyer Funeral Home, Sharpsville, has been entrusted with arrangements.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Joy's family during this difficult time. Joy took care of my two sons, Lance and Trent Rice! Between Janice and Joy, they were the best!
